Apple-Maple Pie


  • 1 9-inch pie shell
  • 6 med. cooking apples
  • 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 T. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. ALAGA Butter Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 c. whipping cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice


  • Cut 3 apples in half and slice the 3 remaining apples.
  • Continue flour and sugar.
  • Cut in the butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
  • Sprinkle half the mixture in the bottom of the pie crust and top with the apple slices.
  • Arrange the apple halves cut sides down on top.
  • In a bowl, combine the ALAGA Butter Maple Syrup, whipping cream, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice.
  • Pour mixture over the apple halves and sprinkle evenly with the remaining crumb mixture,.
  • Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 375 degrees and bake for 35 minutes, shielding with aluminum foil after 15 minutes to prevent excessive browning, if necessary.
  • Let stand 15 minutes.
  • Serve with ice cream and extra ALAGA Butter Maple Syrup.
