Alaga Pecan Crescents
Alaga Tura´s Breakfast/Brunch Crescents
(4-oz.) cream cheese
3 T. Alaga Cane Syrup
1/4 c. pecans
1 pkg. crescent rolls
Dash ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix cream cheese and 2 T. of the Alaga Cane Syrup. Stir in the pecans. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles. Roll up each loosely, starting at shortest side of triangle. Place the rolls on an ungreased baking sheet. Curve each into a crescent shape. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle with remaining syrup when done. Yield: 8 servings.
Alaga Syrup Bread
Alaga Syrup Bread
1 stick of butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. Alaga Cane Syrup
3 eggs
3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
dash salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 c. raisins
1 c. pecans
1 c. buttermilk
Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs. Sift all of the dry ingredients together and add to the cream mixture. Alternate with the buttermilk and beat well.. Fold in the nuts and raisins. Bake in a greased flour pan 8X8X2 inch at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Alaga Cranberry Nutbread
Alaga Oakview Farms Granary Cranberry Nut Bread
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. Oakview Farms whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 T. butter (softened and in pieces)
3/4 c. fresh orange juice
1 T. orange zest
1 egg
1/2 c. Alaga Yellow Label Syrup
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 to 2 c. fresh cranberries (stems removed)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. In a separate bowl, combine orange juice, orange zest, egg and Alaga Yellow Label Syrup. Pour over the dry ingredients and stir just until dampened. Carefully fold in the pecans and cranberries. Spoon mixture into a greased 9X5 loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour, or until crust is golden brown and tester comes out clean.
