ALAGA Pralines


  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 – Mixing Bowl


  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 T. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. pecan halves
  • 1/2 c. ALAGA Cane Syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. heavy cream


  • Boil the sugars, ALAGA Cane Syrup and heavy cream together, until mixture reaches the soft ball stage (238 degrees). Stir constantly during cooking. Remove from heat.
  • Add the butter, nuts and vanilla, and stir until the mixture begins to sugar.
  • Drop tip of spoon into mounds on buttered baking sheets.
